Like a good majority of us right now- my heart hurts, my head hurts and I've spent days (weeks, months) in shock and sadness. In looking for a positive outlet to pour into, I found @nurtureproject, as this particular aspect of the refugee crisis has been on my heart constantly. Every time I think about the scenario above- giving birth alone, without my husband... trying to heal from birth, care for yourself and learn how to be a Mama to a new baby... having no access to clean diapers or any personal hygiene products for yourself, all while fearfully trying to figure out your next move. This could be any of us. There are so many important aspects of supporting the Syrian refugees that need attention, but just $12 pays for a week of clean diapers for one child (or a MONTH for $48!). So easy, friends. If you're sad, angry, confused- or just wanna love someone in need... find a positive opportunity to support the ones suffering.
